I won’t
stay long. I’ve just had a massage from 3-6 people simultaneously. Hitting the
computer for any length of time is so not on the menu, but you have to admit,
if there’s a thing that needs a gratitude mention, that’s pretty high up.
We just
spent the evening, after a play and receiving our expenses back (how nice does
it feel, though, to receive money, even if it’s your money that you just spent)
doing a group massage session. We did partners – there were too many people who
wanted massages and weirdly, no other trained masseurs (or maybe one, but he
wasn’t very vocal about it). In a group like this, I’d have expected loads!
So, not
only did I get to run a group (which I love) but I got to massage 12 people in
all, I think, maybe 10, and to show the same number how to give someone a
really satisfying massage. We used oils and cream, lavender and rose
respectively. People got their backs out and everybody seemed comfortable. One
lady had never, in her life, had a massage. This evening, she had two. How
lovely is that?
And
earlier in the day, we’d had a non-massage five-on-one session where you were
touched softly, lowered gently to the ground, touched some more, rolled all the
way over and then all the way back. That was just stunning. I loved it. And now
this. Erm… thank you?
Today, I
found out that someone I like and respect very much is in hospital being
treated for cancer. He’s feeling very positive, and it’s still a big and
challenging time. I feel like a whole raft of lovely healed and healing juice
can be on its way to him, thanks to the world of gentleness and care that
happened today. It’s all a huge balance and I’m enjoying the blessings of it
today. Strength to you, my friend, and to everyone else facing their own
challenges, whatever they may be.
