Day 140 - Play

Today, my first day of not surfing facebook, has been easier than expected. I left my computer at home while I went clowning. I am grateful for a much gentler, more enjoyable version of clowning that my last experience. I understand that clowning is about being comfortable being in the shit, and that to get to that point, we need to break the habits of a lifetime... but possibly not in one day. Today's version spent a lot longer on creating an atmosphere where people really were having fun, and then being in the shit came easier, and was more pleasurable. Mr Barnfather talked a lot about the optimism of the clown. Peta Lily did too - she was a fabulous teacher. She was the second person I ever did clowning with, and she gave me the bug. Mick B has sparked that fire again, and I see from his website that he's involved with the wonderful Peepolykus. If you ever get a chance to see them do ANYTHING, please do. They are just delightful. Doctor Brown too. Go!

I'm grateful for nice people, for a good swim and a good cycle, and for a very good, very patient and loving friend. I am humbled.
