Day 180 - OMG, Pond!

Beautiful pond. Went from fine to rain to hail to glorious in the space of about 15 minutes. It wasn't as cold as the Denmarkish Sea. I got to see Ruth twice today - once this morning at the pond and once this evening, over dinner (cooked by ex-Pond, now-France Jane). Ruth and I found knitting patterns and looked at things on the internet. It was a delight to see her.

Today, for 'work', I learnt a huge number of medical terms that I'm sure I thought I knew, but didn't. I corrected the BEST bad translations EVER. They kept making me laugh out loud (no LOL-ing for me, OMG no). And I learnt (can it be true) that kangaroos have three vaginas and two penises (split between males and females - it's not just a genitalia bazaar). Lots of other medical things, but, like a small boy, all I can remember are the ones about bums and snot, so I'll save you those. I loved my work today. I'm very grateful.

And I'm very tired. Up early, for good reason, after a late night. Up early again tomorrow, more reasons that are good, but lots to get sorted. The dongs are off up the road telling me it's eleven - as if I didn't know - as if my eyes weren't already doing a mutiny in my head!

I got the bus a few times in the last 24 hours. All my bus drivers smiled. I think thinks are coming together. Let's see what my sleeping brain has to say.
