Ha. Feels like half a day. I'm grateful to the stranger who phoned me at 12.35 to invite me to come and live in his house. I had to say no, but I was very happy because I was still asleep. Not even a bit awake and dozing. Just properly full in there. Without that call, Lord knows how long it would have taken before I woke up. I had a meeting at 3.30 to see some warehouse spaces. They were, as predicted by THP, horrible, but the guy who showed them to me was very nice. He looked haunted, but was gentle and straightforward. I'm looking at another space that I don't intend to sign up for tomorrow, partly to get the size of it and partly to play at doing some techniques with him. Should be fun, and he's now on the lookout for something wonderful for us.

- dark as all fuck, but very pleasing. He had a duck-headed lady statue that I liked very much. He wasn't charging much for it - only £30 - but it was more than I was gearing up to pay. I may go back, though. I may have to find him again. If you are also enchanted by dark stuff like this (I loved the Joker Queen too), then do like his page. I think he's very talented.
I had a coffee in a Turkish cafe and decided on some stuff. Then I rode down to Liverpool Street for a drink with the Challenge people. Very good stuff. Immo, Gina and AJ were there - my fellow practitioners for the summer - and lovely Keisha (who had the pleasure of living on her own in Gillingham for the whole of the summer - poor thing - and managed to stay positive and smiley). Immo brought along his partner of 22 years. She was loud and funny, with great cheekbones and a very familiar manner. I liked her.
And then home to ice cream (tomorrow I start my Autumn healthy eating business...) and cups of tea. I watched some Spaced clips. What a beautifully-balanced on-screen relationship. I love that they can make everyone root for them. Isn't it delicious and painful and glowy at the same time watching people love each other and not quite realise it. I know they're made up, but it's good meat anyway. And I watched outtakes. Very nice. I think that's the whole reason I ever wanted to be an actor. Watching outtakes. Watching people get the giggles at work. Aha... now I get it. Well, my work already does feel like play, and if doing a few jobs off the internet will allow me to enjoy that experience, then that's what I shall do.

A gentle, but pleasing, half day. Things are good.
