Day 311: Munger

Hardy Woman
Quick! Quick!

Fucking munger of a day (that's a good thing).

Still pushing the 'changing outside' bit of the pond experience. I wonder if I'll get hardy with the air like I did with the water last year and change outdoors all winter. Probably not, but you never know. Some old battleaxes do. I say that with respect, but there's battleaxiness about changing outside when it's hovering around zero, isn't there?

The water was all blissy too. I nearly ate a floating bug, but then I didn't. I just missed a crowd of very screechy women, which was a blessing. You could hear them coming. I love the peace of the very early pond. Not quite early enough today. Maybe tomorrow, I'll bring it forward half an hour (not the very earliest, but early enough, you know?)

Strictly Ballroom
Buggerjuice, I really need to sleep. Just to say, today's workshop was an absolute pleasure. I played a bit, but more than that, I enjoyed just listening. There were things to sort out, and I wish I'd gone with my instinct about how to sort them, rather than listening to advice, but that's what I did and now we are where we're at. It's all good.

And then I had a coffee (fresh mint tea, in fact) with the workshop leader. It turns out that a. he's an outstandingly good egg and b. we have mutual friends (also good eggs. One of them is Steen of Best Face Ever fame).

Both
I had a lovely afternoon, and then I watched Strictly Ballroom with Ruth. I vowed before never to choose films for Ruth again, but I went and suggested this. I loved it, she didn't. I don't think she hated it, but she certainly wasn't that impressed. I think in some things, we just have different tastes. If only I remember which reactions I've seen before, I should be able to guess quite well which films not to mention.

Well done and 'You Fucking Rock' to Dave Waller and Rob Grundel. You know why.
